I became a Councillor because I believed that I could help make a difference. Local politics should be about local communities, we shouldn't settle for 'good enough' but aspire for the best.

Surgeries
I don't hold a surgery - most people contact me by phone if there is a problem or something they need help with, I will make a home visit. Many residents have sought and received my help.

About me

I represent St. Peter's Ward both on Broadstairs Town Council and Thanet District Council.

At Thanet District Council I am a Cabinet Member with responsibilities for Housing - this covers housing and community matters, including Council Housing, homelessnes, Renewal Area and Private Sector housing.

I am on the following committees at Broadstairs Town Council:

Planning, Finance and general purposes
Leisure and Tourism sub-committee
Broadstairs Town Forum

I had the honour of being Mayor of Broadstairs and St. Peter's for two years in 2003-2004 and 2004-2005.

I am also actively involved with the:

The Broadstairs Society
Dickens House Museum
Royal British Legion

My Ward

St. Peter's is a lovely place with a strong sense of community life. I am very proactive within my ward, helping to bring about a better quality of life for my constituents.
